Jack Ward

 Command Sergeant Major Jack Ward enlisted in the United States Army August 12, 1962 and retired 1991.

Fought in Vietnam 1967, 1968 and again 1970 and 1971 Spent 6 years on recruiting duty in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and St Louis Missouri  Spent 7 years in Europe Spent 5 years at Fort Bliss in El Paso TX

He served in a variety of military occupations.

Squad Leader Platoon Leader 1St Sergeant  Later as Command Sergeant Major at the Bataillon level,  Brigade level and Division level. Awards include:

Twice awarded Legion of Merit Medal  Bronze Star Medal Twice awarded Meritorious Service Medal  3 times awarded Army Commendation Medal  Army Achievement Medal Vietnam Service Medal with 3 Bronze Star Medals Republic of Vietnam Campaign  Medal 7 times awarded Good Conduct Medal 

His terminal assignment was as Commandant Air Defense Non-Commissioned Officers Academy. He supervised a staff 95 men and women. He also taught air defense skills to approx. 3000 men and women per year.
